Dupe for Bobbi Brow Full Coverage Brush

If you’re a makeup aficionado (some would say addict) like me, then you’ll probably love finding affordable dupes for high end product, yes?
I’m a big fan of using my fingers to apply my foundation, concealer and all cream products but sometimes I like to use a buffing brush, so let’s move fast forward to the dupe talk:
The Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush is a great tool for applying liquid foundation, the size of the brush gives a good control of the application, leaving a next to airbrushed finish – yes, please!
However, the diameter of the brush head is relatively small and the bristles are quite densely packed, resulting in the pressure, that I apply with the brush, is distributed onto a small area of skin – which in turns temporarily worsen my redness on my rosacea cheeks (watch it happen here).
IDUN Minerals Powder & Bronzer Brush*

This is where the dupiness enters this blog post. The Swedish makeup brand IDUN Minerals has created their Powder&Bronzer Brush. The brush is larger, the bristles are longer, softer and less densely packed than the Bobbi Brown Brush.

So the pressure applied with this brush, is distributed onto a lager area of my skin, resulting in less redness and irritation – hurrah!
The size of this brush makes the application noticeably faster, but I don’t feel that I have the same control of the application e.g. around my nose. However, the finish is equally beautiful as the Bobbi Brown Brush.

The Verdict
The IDUN Minerals Powder&Bronzer Brush is in fact a better option for my sensitive rosacea skin, which is prone to redness. So if you too have sensitive skin, you could save some money and go for this more affordable brush. Or you could use the free and equally good option, which is always at hand – namely your fingers 😉
Watch my video about the skin condition rosacea here, and watch my How To: Lipstick For Rosacea, to see which colors I prefer to wear without emphasizing my rosacea red cheeks.
What are your go to brushes for foundation application?
